Open Access in New Zealand
The New Zealand University Libraries, under its umbrella organisation, Council of New Zealand University Librarians (CONZUL), issued a statement on Open Access in 2010
The New Zealand Government Open Access and Licensing framework (NZGOAL), approved by the New Zealand Cabinet on 5 July 2010, provides government guidance for agencies to follow when releasing copyright works and non-copyright material for re-use by others.
All eight New Zealand Universities have a repository for their researchers’ outputs.
Two universities have specific Open Access policies ( Waikato and Lincoln )
