Open Access In New Zealand

 Open Access  in New Zealand

The New Zealand University Libraries, under its umbrella organisation, Council of New Zealand University Librarians (CONZUL), issued a statement on Open Access in 2010

The New Zealand Government Open Access and Licensing framework (NZGOAL), approved by the New Zealand Cabinet on 5 July 2010, provides government guidance for agencies to follow when releasing copyright works and non-copyright material for re-use by others.

All eight New Zealand Universities have a repository for their researchers’ outputs.

Two universities have specific Open Access policies ( Waikato and  Lincoln )

Creative Commons New Zealand provides information and education on Open Access licenses and much more.
