Creative Commons Australia supports Creative Commons in Australia and administers the Australian Creative Commons licenses. It is part of a global affiliate network working to support and promote CC activities around the world.

Look at these great resources created by CC Australia to help GLAM organisations make their collections more open. They focus on understanding the principles of open licensing and engaging your communities with and contributing to a vibrant cultural commons.
Creative Commons Australia is run by three Australian organisations with joint responsibility for the project:
- Queensland University of Technology is responsible for the Legal, GLAM, Private & Creative Sectors. Emeritus Professor Tom Cochrane and Dr Nicolas Suzor are the Project Leads from QUT.
- The Australian Governments’ Open Access and Licensing Programme (AusGOAL) is responsible for Publicly Funded Information. Baden Appleyard is the Project Lead from AusGOAL.
- The National Copyright Unit (NCU) to the Copyright Advisory Group, COAG Education Council is responsible for the Education sector. Delia Browne, the National Copyright Director of the NCU, is the Project Lead for Education.
